The newest community in Spencer County, it lies at the intersection of State Roads 66 and 161 and is named for three cities to which they travel: Rockport, the county seat of Spencer County, is three miles east of Reo. Evansville, southwestern Indiana's largest city, is 28 miles west of Reo. Owensboro, Kentucky's third-largest city, is nine miles south of Reo. Reo is home to several subdivisions, a bank, two schools, a popular five-screen drive-in movie theater, a gas station/Wendy's restaurant and four automobile dealerships, along with a number of other businesses.
