What does ADA mean in Software?

This page is about the meanings of the acronym/abbreviation/shorthand ADA in the Computing field in general and in the Software terminology in particular.

A Detection Algorithm

ADA was created by the pair of Henry Bowles, who was the main developer and H. Richard Loeb of the the Niantic Project, its goal to be a sentient artificial intelligence. ADA has since become a proprietary eponym where people use the acronym ADA to represent other detection algorithms (e.g., face detection or other scanning intelligence) even if those constructs have nothing to do with the original algorithm.
