10/10! However, I was taught, and always believed that USSR was the abbreviation for United Soviet Socialist Republic. I’m 47 years old, so I was around when the USSR was still the USSR. I remember when we, (USA) and 65 other countries, boycotted the 1980 Summer Olympics in Moscow because of the Soviet invasion of Afghanistan in December of ‘79.
