The Internet and I are very well acquainted. I grew up using it and continue to do so on a daily basis, both as a student and in my personal life. I contribute regularly to Wikipedia, Wiktionary, and WikiAnswers, as well as MetaFilter and myriad personal weblogs and forums. I am also active on several social bookmarking services, especially StumbleUpon and Digg. I am interested in volunteering to be an editor for Abbreviations.com for the same reason that I am an editor for other Internet-based projects dealing with linguistics: I love language, and the Internet is the best way to share that love with the global community.
