Freddie For A Day
The annual event where fans of the Queen legend Freddie Mercury, dress up like him for the day, on his birth date, 05 September. People are sponsored to do this, and all proceeds go to the 'Mercury Phoenix Trust' AIDS Fund, set up in his name in 1992, after his death in November 1991 from AIDS related Bronchal Pneumonia. The idea was founded by Queen fan Liz Swanton.
