Celiac Disease
Another name for Gluten enteropathy. The main cause is immune reactions triggered by gliadin mainly in small intestine leading to villus atrophy, intraepithelial lymphocytosis, thus resulting with malabsorption in a group of HLA DQ2 or HLA DQ8 positive indiviuals.
