- Wadsworth is a city in Medina County, Ohio, United States. Founded in 1814, it was named after General Elijah Wadsworth, a Revolutionary War hero. The population was 21,567 at the 2010 census. The Wadsworth City School District is known in the area for its successes in athletics, and also in the arts and academics.
