- Crossgain was a company that developed application software for building web services. The company was founded in February, 2000 by Tod Nielsen, Adam Bosworth and Rod Chavez. All of the founders originally worked for Microsoft.In September 2000 the company received US$10 Million in venture funding from The Barksdale Group and Benchmark Capital.It was acquired by BEA Systems in July 2001.
