Forgiveness, is to absolve a person of any personal (or that of a closely related person, friend, etc.) of a wrongdoing. To forget is to not bring up that particular wrongdoing ever. You cannot erase memory, but if you TRULY forgive, you will NOT mention the wrongdoing EVER!!! Whether in the heat of an argument, intoxication, or trying to get the upper hand (of an unrelated disagreement), etc.
