What does xoomsys mean?
- Xoomsys
- Xoomsys was founded in 2003 by Dr. Sunil Shah. Dr. Shah has developed breakthrough technology that allows simulation of tightly coupled systems in a distributed processing environment. Prior to this breakthrough tightly coupled systems - integrated circuits belong to this class of systems - could not be simulated in a distributed processing environment because the communication overhead between computing nodes negated any performance gains achieved by distributing the problem. Xoomsys is developing products based on this breakthrough in distributed processing. The overall solution uses Xoomsys products, industry-standard circuit simulators and low-cost Linux computing clusters to deliver orders-of-magnitude gains in circuit simulation throughput without any loss of accuracy. Xoomsys secured initial seed funding in July 2004 from prominent individual investors and secured venture financing from top-tier venture capital firms in October 2004.
