What does canseco mean?
- Canseco
- Canseco is a Mexican alternative music band formed in Tijuana, Baja California, Mexico. The band started in January 2004 with its original lineup, which was Eugenio Dodero, Hector Moreno, Julio Selva and Tomas Castrejon. The band recorded two demos in 2004, one in February and the other November. With those two demos the band left Tijuana in the summer of 2005 and went on their first national tour in Mexico, which was totally independent. After establishing a name for themselves they provided two songs for the 2005 "Nuevos Tiempos, Viejos Amigos" compilation, alongside some of the most important bands in the new independent movement in Mexican rock. After this compilation came out, Canseco set their sights in planning what would turn out to be their first full-length album. There was only one approach in order to create the sound that they had in mind for their debut album "El Tiempo y la Ciudad". This was to grab a van and start an epic journey from Tijuana all the way to Eudora, Kansas, drenching themselves in roads, landscapes, sunsets and songs.
