Angeles (, [ˈaŋhɛlɛs]), officially the City of Angeles (Kapampangan: Lakanbalen ning Angeles; Filipino: Lungsod ng Angeles), is a 1st class highly urbanized city in the Central Luzon region of the Philippines. According to the 2020 census, it has a population of 462,928 people. While Angeles City is politically independent from the province of Pampanga, it is usually grouped with it for statistical purposes.Angeles City is one of the proposed metropolitan areas in the Philippines. Metro Angeles is proposed to include the component cities of Mabalacat and San Fernando, as well as the towns of Bacolor, Floridablanca, Guagua, Lubao, Mexico, Porac and Santa Rita.
