What does AMEA mean in Ocean Science?

AMEA provides opportunity for research and best practice paper presentation like (1) Ocean literacy researchers and application in formal and informal education; (2) Education and courses in ocean literacy; (3) Development and comparison of ocean literacy between nations; (4) Ocean literacy evaluation; (5) collaboration between local communities and international communities; (6) collaboration between formal and informal marine education; (7) collaboration between marine research institute and education; (8) Technology (digital) application in marine education, and; (9) other marine education issues. First Conference was hosted by the National Taiwan Ocen University thru its Taiwan Marine Education Center ( Prof Ray Yen) in 2016, after their initial meeting at TUMST Japan ( Dr. Tsuyoshi Sasaki). The 2nd AMEA Conference was hosted by the Maritime Academy of Asia and the Pacific thru its External Relations Office ( Prof Angelica Baylon) in partnership with PAEPI-GLOBAL. The 3rd Conference was hosted by the Ocean University of China, Qingdao China in 2018. The 4th AMEA Conference hosted by South Korea for 2019 was canceled due to COVID 19 pandemic.
