10/10! However, I was taught, and always believed that USSR was the abbreviation for United Soviet Socialist Republic. I’m 47 years old, so I was around when the USSR was still the USSR. I remember when we, (USA) and 65 other countries, boycotted the 1980 Summer Olympics in Moscow because of the Soviet invasion of Afghanistan in December of ‘79. Then, in the summer of 1984, the USSR responded in kind by boycotting The Olympics in Los Angeles.more »
