What does TYC mean in Companies & Firms?
This page is about the meanings of the acronym/abbreviation/shorthand TYC in the Business field in general and in the Companies & Firms terminology in particular.
Thirty Year Curse
meaning that any employee with over 30 years of employment with an employer VERY FREQUENLY becomes the target of a particular form of age discrimination: the Thirty Year Curse. Meetings with no agenda, retaliation in the form of increased work assignment, removing work supports such as clerical staff, break rooms, and limiting/restricting access to clean and safe work areas, failure to repair office hazards (such as leaking ceilings) are symptoms. Often a middle manager with vicious or sadistic tendencies takes up the dirty work of ongoing harrassment. The irony- such middle managers eventually become fodder for TYC themselves. Dead employees collect no pension or health benefits!!! Seems to be more and more common since 2006, and with any economic downturn or difficulty. Single Females are particularly targeted as they may have no recognized survivor benefits, again, the corporation or company wins as there are no survivor benefits to pay out. Beware!!!
