  I would like to introduce a new word into our American language- a most needed word.
  That word is Amo- which stands for Adult- Mate-Other.
  This word can replace the now used words which no longer adequately describe certain people in our lives ie, husband, wife, girlfriend, boyfriend, friend, lover, companion, significant other etc.
  
  There is a need for one word to relate all of these positions which certain people hold.
  I saw a need, and I'm trying to fill it..
  I would like to see this word get spread around and used as fast as the word "gay' became in usage.

    Your comment looked lonely...lol. I'm being a smart ass. lol...I like your idea, however, it's important to differentiate a word from an acronym. By simply adding a period after each letter we define the acronym from the word. Currently the letters Amo aren't recognized together as a word in either MW's Dic or the Oxford American Dic. It is however recognized by over 45 diff organizations throughout the country as an acronym. I've read em all and yours is the best. It's seriously the most qualified definition. Most important is the purpose and cause proposed in your motives and goals. it couldn't come at a better time than now. To say you were ahead of your time is an understatement. Adult. Mate. Other.
