  I think that the abbreviation "resp" sometimes means "respectively." For example, "Sucrose increased toxin production by fungus A and by fungus B under stationary and shaker conditions resp."

  The speaker used the word “resp.” several times in the narration. Here are a few examples:
  
  --Hank goes outside and runs into Mystique (not mutated at first resp. as Raven).
  
  --On the way back, the Sentinel army interferes resp. the Sentinels suddenly are in hot pursuit.
  
  --Ironically, putting in the Rogue character is what could be argued about the most resp. contrary to the other differences, it is the less positive alteration made.
  
  --Apart from Bishop, Blink and Sunspot now get to state their skepticism resp. they now speak as well.
  
  --Moreover, the following shot of Kitty starts a bit earlier resp. she elaborates almost entirely on-screen.
  
  --Professor X (resp. young Xavier) laughs a little and Beast reacts properly after Wolverine told them about his time travel experience.
  
  --After a shot of Beast (resp. Young Hank McCoy), Xavier makes a reference to "X-Men: First Class": "Tall, angry fellow with the contentious hair."
  
  While I do not know for sure, I believe that English is not the narrator’s first language due to other grammatical slips. I can usually decipher folks meaning, or intentions, within their writings because I’m aided by knowing the subject matter being discussed. But, in this case I am baffled as to what “resp.” is supposed to be an abbreviation for. If anyone can help, please let me know.
  
  I’m reminded of the time I was on a trailer trip with my parents about 100+ miles south of Ensenada, Baja California and came upon a little boy and girl playing next to a filling station. They were both speaking fluent Spanish whereas my 8th grade level Spanish wasn’t even close to allowing me to converse with them properly. Fortunately, their upbringing was well enough that prevented them from laughing at my attempts. more »
